International cooperation and continuous collaboration remain at the heart of the Erasmus+ project UkraStud – “Perceptions of Inclusion, Well-being and Identification with the European Union in Ukrainian University Students.” Through a series of transnational meetings organised across Europe, the project partners continue to strengthen academic cooperation and coordinate joint actions dedicated to supporting Ukrainian students in higher education.

The project brings together universities and organisations from Italy, Romania, Türkiye, Croatia, and Ukraine, creating a strong European partnership focused on inclusion, educational support, and student wellbeing.

An important milestone of the project was the first transnational meeting hosted by Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava, Romania, on 9–10 December 2024, where consortium members officially launched the project activities and established the framework for future collaboration. During the meeting, partners discussed project implementation, work package coordination, dissemination activities, and upcoming research and educational initiatives.

The collaboration continued during the second transnational project meeting organised in Istanbul, Türkiye, on 19–20 November 2025, where project experts worked together on advancing the research related to the psychological wellbeing of Ukrainian students and discussed the next stages of the project implementation. The meeting also focused on dissemination activities, project visibility, and the preparation of future educational resources, including the upcoming Online Course for University Tutors.

Throughout the project meetings, partners coordinated upcoming activities, reviewed project progress, exchanged institutional experiences, and planned future dissemination and implementation actions. The meetings also created valuable opportunities for networking, intercultural dialogue, and strengthening cooperation between universities and organisations involved in the project.

Another important moment for the consortium will be the final transnational meeting hosted by the University of Padova, Italy, on 7 May 2026. During the meeting, project partners will review the final stages of implementation, discuss sustainability strategies, and coordinate the preparation of the final project report.

The collaborative activities will continue with the International Conference organised at the University of Padova on 8 May 2026, bringing together researchers, educators, psychologists, students, and university representatives from across Europe to discuss inclusion, wellbeing, and support strategies for Ukrainian students in higher education.

Through continuous collaboration, shared expertise, and international dialogue, the UkraStud consortium contributes to building more inclusive, supportive, and resilient academic environments across Europe.
