A new Erasmus+ initiative dedicated to inclusion, well-being, and educational support for Ukrainian university students has officially started, bringing together universities and organisations from across Europe under the project UkraStud – “Perceptions of Inclusion, Well-being and Identification with the European Union in Ukrainian University Students.”
The project aims to respond to some of the major educational and social challenges faced by Ukrainian students by promoting inclusion, equal opportunities, resilience, and intercultural dialogue within higher education environments. The UkraStud consortium includes partners from Italy, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, and Ukraine, working together to develop practical educational resources, support tools, and inclusive strategies that can be implemented across universities and educational institutions.
The partnership is coordinated by the University of Padua (Italy) and includes:
- Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa (Turkey)
- Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava (Romania)
- International European University (Ukraine)
- University of Zagreb Faculty of Agriculture (Croatia)
- Igor Vitale International SRL (Italy)
During the implementation period, the project will focus on research activities, online educational resources, tutor support materials, dissemination initiatives, and collaborative actions aimed at improving the educational experience and well-being of Ukrainian students across Europe.
Among the key priorities of the project are:
- promoting inclusive educational practices;
- supporting psychological well-being and resilience;
- strengthening European values and intercultural dialogue;
- encouraging cooperation and exchange of good practices between institutions.
The consortium strongly believes that education, collaboration, and solidarity play a central role in building supportive and inclusive academic communities. Through its activities and international cooperation, UkraStud aims to contribute to a more connected, resilient, and student-centred European educational environment.
