19–20 November 2025, Istanbul, Türkiye – The UkraStud consortium came together in Istanbul for the second Transnational Partner Meeting, hosted by the Istanbul partner. The two-day meeting provided an important opportunity for the five partner universities to review the progress achieved so far, address outstanding tasks, and coordinate the final stages of project implementation. The meeting brought together representatives from the partner institutions involved in the Erasmus+ project “Perceptions of Inclusion, Well-being and Identification with the European Union in Ukrainian University Students”, with partners from Italy, Romania, Türkiye, Croatia, and Ukraine working together towards a common goal: improving support and inclusion for Ukrainian students in higher education. A central part of the meeting focused on the research component of UkraStud. Partners reviewed the status of data collection and discussed strategies for reaching the project’s target number of Ukrainian university students. The research provides the evidence base for the educational and support resources being developed throughout the project.
The consortium also dedicated significant attention to the Digital Course. Partners reviewed the content developed so far and worked on aligning the course with the project’s research findings and underlying principles. Particular attention was given to the structure of the digital learning experience, video creation guidelines, and the development of interactive H5P scenarios. Another important area of discussion was the practical implementation of support strategies. Partners discussed the implementation plan, expected indicators, and the alignment of activities with the project’s objectives.
Beyond the individual work packages, the Istanbul meeting was an important moment for clarifying responsibilities within the consortium and planning the activities leading towards the final year of the project. Partners also began defining the framework for the final event in Padova, including common guidelines for future multiplier events.
The Istanbul meeting therefore represented an important step in moving from research and development towards the practical application and dissemination of UkraStud results. Through continued cooperation, the consortium is working to ensure that the project’s resources respond to the real needs of Ukrainian university students and can contribute to more inclusive and supportive higher education environments.
