On 8 May 2026, the University of Padua, Italy, hosted the Final International Conference of the UkraStud project.
The event brought together project partners, university representatives, researchers, educators and other stakeholders to reflect on the work carried out throughout the project and to discuss how its results can contribute to more inclusive and supportive higher education environments for Ukrainian students.
The programme offered an overview of the main achievements of UkraStud, beginning with an introduction to the project and its connection to the Erasmus+ Programme, followed by the presentation of the psychosocial research developed. Participants were introduced to the Digital Course and VR Simulations for Wellbeing. A dedicated session focused on experiences at the border and on practices for supporting Ukrainian students in Romania, highlighting the importance of practical, student-centred approaches to inclusion and well-being. The final workshop, “From Student Voices to University Action”, further reinforced the central principle of UkraStud: meaningful inclusion begins by listening to students and translating their experiences into concrete action within universities.
